Thornton Construction renovated 8,813 SF of the 6th floor rehabilitation unit and 736 SF of the Solarium for Memorial Regional Hospital. The scope consisted of roofing, interior and exterior work. The extent of the work included paving, concrete, structural steel, millwork, door and framing, tile and VCT flooring, ceiling, specialties, HVAC, plumbing and electric. There were 69 private rooms added, as well as private bathrooms that accommodate wheelchairs. Thornton also added Daily Living Apartments and a 3,000 SF therapy gym. This was the first facility in Florida with ‘vector weight’ equipment.
